TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The newly created Training and Development Manager will devise our organizational training strategy, oversee its implementation, and assess its outcomes. You will identify training and developmental needs and drive suitable training initiatives. The Training and Development Manager will touch just about every aspect of our business to enhance employees' skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work.
Rest assured; you won't be asked to do all this on your own. You will collaborate with Operations and Human Resources, work closely with the plant subject matter experts, and interact with team members throughout our organization.
Responsibilities
- Align learning strategy to corporate and plant goals.
- Develop strategic learning plan.
- Collaborate with curriculum designers, trainers, internal customers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop training content and other training materials.
- Participate in developing on site On-The-Job Training.
- Partner with equipment vendors and SMEs to develop training for new system installations.
- Support employee development programs (e.g. new hire, leadership, technical, etc.).
- Administer Axonify (LMS) system updates and upgrades as the organization is ready.
- Partner with Axonify Point People (APPs) at each location to implement training solutions as formulated by the Advisory Team.
- Act as a resource to the APPs addressing and resolving challenges with the Axonify system, content development, employee engagement and other potential issues.
- Partner with HR and other leaders to identify and deliver site-specific training.
- Provide direction and guidance to the advisory team.
Qualifications and Requirements
- BA/BS or MA/MS in Employee Development, Adult Learning, HR or another related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Training and Development.
- Strategic thinker who can align the organization in Training and Development Initiatives.
- Utilize the disciplines of Training and Development to make GMI's program robust and sustainable.

- Understand regulatory requirements around training and tracking training.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a diverse population.
- Organized and able to manage multiple ongoing projects at once and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Displays creativity in content development and the use of new technologies.
- Prefer an individual with prior experience in food and food manufacturing settings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- May travel 20-25% to support Plants.
