Blend Operator

Have you ever wondered how companies mix their ingredients together to get a 5, 7, 9 or 12 grain blend?  Well here at Grain Millers, Inc. we can mix up to 12 ingredients together to make those blends of our customers.  The Blend Operator is responsible for preparing and blending products together.

Regular Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gathering of ingredients needed for specific blend and dumping bagged product into assigned bin.
• Review product recipe, set up equipment for specific run and operate packaging into either super sacks for 50 pound bags.
• Complete Quality checks as outlined by SOP and document findings.
• Monitor and adjust all equipment to ensure quality, safety and production requirements are maintained.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Clean equipment and work area at end of shift and between product changes.
• Warehouse ingredients and finished product in appropriate warehouse locations.
• Document production runs.

Essential Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Fork lift experience desirable.
• Basic computer skills needed.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lifting 50 pounds
• Ability to walk and stand for 8 hours per day.
• Ability to lift and change LP tanks of forklifts, up to 75 pounds.
